Social Media: Present and Future

I have my owm Google+, called Abel Pardo Fernández (remember, Google don’t let pseudonims or false names!) but, what about our brands? Google is one of the latest social media and the one that grew up in a fast way in less time. Now Google is adding everyday more features for gaining market quota like Youtube integration being one of the more interesting ones Google Pages.

What Google Pages is Google was developed as a network for individuals with name and surname where nicks where not authorized. In this sense Brands Business Organisations and collectives where not allowed to sign for a Google account.

Brands in Google+

Google was purely for real people so yes there were exceptions none could stablish a brand profile like it might be done in nets like Facebook or Twitter. True name only have been Google’s policy from the start in this network but it’s fact that this policies were damaging its development.

Solution? To let brands to start an account what implied different changes for Google new logo new try for attacking the domination of Facebook and new campaigns where the result of this digital marketing strategy.

Google+ or not?

Is it for my brand? It could be. Now none knows what Google is for and everyone probes it like if they were using Facebook Twitter both or acombo. My recommendation is to create an account just now by two main reasons. First for having your own brand there like a brand policy, second, it’s interesting and helps in your social media strategy.

Google Pages in a Digital Marketing strategy

Then it’s free so you have to take in count time and resources your business is going to spend there. There are some questions in your digital marketing strategy about if a brand really wishes a Google Pages account or not.

What are you going to do in Google Pages?
What are your objectives in this network?
Is it going to be positive for your brand?
What kind of profit are you going to take?
How many time cash efforts are you going to invest in Google?
Is your ROI going to be acceptable or merely a joke?
