Yakaar Africa – ONG Senegal is working in Bandafassi and Dindefello, that are villages found in the area of Kedougou, 700 kilometers to the southeast of Dakar, the capital city of Senegal.
In this two villages a big issue of anemia and starvation has been detected during some rutinary health missions.
Medical Problems
Though from the first medical mission in October 2009 the population’s health status has improved.
Thanks to the contribution of particular medicine against anemia and malnutrition, it is surmised that a viable solution can only be achieved by enhancing the nourishment of the population.
Now, it’s based pretty much exclusively on foods loaded in carbs such as millet and rice but nearly lacking in protein.
Yakaar Africa: ONG for Senegal
That is the reason why it is necessary to make a garden and a communal farm in every one of the 2 peoples in order to get high protein foods that serve to offer a nutritious diet to the population.
